236. That's what it said on the scale this morning. A loss of 1 pound.
Moving in the right direction again.

Guess How Much I Weigh Contest- Week 94
I just typed 17 pounds to go at the bottom of this entry. That made me a little depressed. But just a little.
I've had a good week, so I am hoping that shows up on the scale tomorrow morning.
Oh and I totally forgot to welcome my wife back to the site after too long an absence. Welcome back sweetie.
Funny thing is, it's been a week since she posted an neither one of us has talked about it in real life. We are kind of ships passing in the night for the next two weeks with our crazy busy schedules.
Step right up, step right up.
Guess how much I weigh and win a fabulous prize.
To Recap:
Every Thursday I give you my stats for the week and you guess what you think the scale will say on Friday morning. The winner is the first person who guesses my weight / weight loss for the week without going over or the person who is closest without going over. Go ahead and click on comments at the bottom of this post and leave your guess.
I will post the winner when I post my weight on Fri. morning. If we get ten or more guesses I will have a prize for the winner.
Let the guessing begin. Good Luck!

Joy And Pain
I love summer...now that it's finally here...at least for 4 days.
I finally got my first real bike ride in today.
Joy: 12 mile bike ride along the Mississippi River
Pain: My legs
Still, it felt good to be back on the bike. Just got to build back up to it. You know what they say, riding a bike is just like riding a bike.
We also had our first Softball game of the season on Monday. What a perfect night for a game. No rain, no bugs, plenty of sun and we won...much to the surprise of our opponents.
I'm in the mood people, I'm in the mood!
Now let's hope I can manage a good weigh in this week and get some momentum going.

Maggie and Ellie's Race Day Wrap Up
Saturday's race was a lot of fun...slow but fun. I came in just under 30 minutes. Way off my normal pace. But I've been running way slow for the last couple of weeks. I blame allergies and my inability to breath, but it's more likely some extra weight and my inability to power through.
I ran with my friend Teressa and we stuck together for the whole race. It was nice and motivating to have someone to chat with. In all honesty I probably would have been even slower if I wasn't trying to be all macho and show-offy for the ladies.
Maggie and Ellie had a blast with their first ever "Big Race". That's what they like to call any race we do.
Ellie was a rocket. She took off like a shot and made a bee line for the finish. Maggie took a slightly more leisurely approach and explored the course as she went. In fact I don't think she crossed the finish line. She was too distracted by the balloons right next to the finish.
This perfectly demonstrates the differences between my two beautiful girls.
In the end both girls declared themselves the winners of The Big Race.
All in all a great day for a run and a fun family outing.
